Yellow Tiger Endler's Livebearer
Yellow Tiger Endler's Livebearer
An eye-catching fish great for nano and community setups that will readily breed in your aquarium.
Yellow Tiger Endler’s Livebearer (Poecilia wingei) are a vibrant and active species of livebearer similar to guppies. Males display bright yellow coloring with black patterned stripes and females are a solid silver/grey color. Although females are less colorful, we recommend keeping at least an equal amount of females and males. This will allow the males to display the brightest colors and perform their unique backward-swimming courting dance. Endlers only live 2-3 years so it is best to keep both males and females in order to maintain a breeding colony so that you can enjoy these fish for many years to come.
Endlers are peaceful fish that do great in most community and nano tanks. As long as they are not kept with a large predatory fish that will eat them, they should do well in your aquarium. If you have males and females they will breed, if you want to raise the babies we recommend adding some clumps of java moss so that the babies can hide and avoid being eaten.
We feed these fish baby brine shrimp, blood worms, and high quality flake food.
